A short, recent documentary brought to my attention by Charles Katz gives some important background information: How Trauma Gets Passed to the Next Generation.  The concept of Transgenerational Trauma and Epigenetics is important.

Etna

While not strictly a pathography, the novella will appeal to animal companions, especially, lovers of dogs.

This is a poignant story told from the vantage point of a dog.  It reminded me of Watership Down.
